G2 Esports' Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Richard "shox" Papillon have been announced as the first duo for the HTC 2v2 CS:GO Invitational. Richard "shox" Papillon was the winner of the 1vs1 Invitational hosted by PGL last year, while Kenny "kennyS" Schrub placed third-fourth after losing to Michał "MICHU" Müller in the semi-finals. Eight famous duos will be in action in this tournament, taking place from May 13-14 inside PGL's studio, in Bucharest, with $50,000 at stake.
The competition will feature a double-elimination format in both the group stage and the playoffs, with the map pool consisting of two retake maps plus one rifle map. All matches will be streamed live on HTC's Twitch channel, where Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett, Henry "HenryG" Greer, Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill and Pala "Mantrousse" Gilroy Sen will take viewers through the action. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
